Here are some things happening this weekend and in the near future…

  • Saturday, February 10th we will be celebrating Chinese New Year (aka Lunar New year) – “The Year of the Dragon”. All are welcome!
  • We will have a special Mass at 9:00 a.m. in thanksgiving for our Asian community living harmoniously with our Caucasian and Spanish/Mexican communities. After the Mass, we will proceed to the Parish Hall for a brunch potluck and celebration. There will be activities for all ages: crafts, games, martial art demonstrations, dragon dances on the screens and more! I hope to see you there!
  • During the Masses this weekend, in honor of Valentine’s Day, we will invite our married couples to stand up and renew their wedding vows. This is for those validly married in the Catholic church. If you are engaged or civilly married, we invite you to speak to me or another priest or deacon to prepare to celebrate the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church.
  • This weekend the St. Anne’s guild will be hosting a bake sale. Baked goods will be available for sale. Pick up some goodies for your Valentine. Proceeds go toward the Guild’s community service projects.
  • Men’s Association pancake breakfast will be served on Sunday after, the 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Masses. Breakfast will be $5.00 per person with a maximum of $20.00 per family. Enjoy a delicious plate of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee or juice. See you there!
  • This coming Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Masses, with the distribution of ashes, will be at 9;00 AM, 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. It is a Holy Day, and a day of Fast and abstinence.
  • If you would like to help at our Interfaith Shelter held here in the Parish Hall for two weeks beginning on February 24th- March 9th , please contact Debbie Higdon at higdondeb21.

Aquí hay algunos eventos que se avecinan este fin de semana:

  • El sábado 10 de febrero celebramos el Año Nuevo Chino “El Año del Dragón 2024”. Todos son invitados.
  • Tendremos una Misa especial a las 9:00 a.m. en acción de gracias por nuestra comunidad asiática que vive en armonía con nuestras comunidades caucásicas y españolas/mexicanas. Después de la Misa, nos dirigiremos al Salón Parroquial para un brunch y celebración. ¡Habrá manualidades, juegos, demostraciones de artes marciales, danzas de dragones en las pantallas y más! ¡Espero verte allí!
  • Durante las Misas de este fin de semana en honor al Día de San Valentín, pediremos a nuestros matrimonios que se pongan de pie y renueven sus votos matrimoniales. Esto es para aquellos válidamente casados por la iglesia católica. Si está casado civilmente o comprometidos, hable conmigo o con otro sacerdote o diácono para prepararse para celebrar su matrimonio en la iglesia.
  • Este fin de semana, el gremio de Santa Ana organizará una venta de pasteles. Se pondrán a la venta productos horneados. Compra algunas delicias para tu San Valentín. Las ganancias se destinan a proyectos de servicio comunitario del Gremio.
  • Si desea ayudar en nuestro Refugio Interreligioso que se llevará a cabo aquí en el Salón Parroquial durante dos semanas a partir del 24 de febrero al 9 de marzo, comuníquese con Debbie Higdon en higdondeb21.
