Do you sew? Prayers & Squares, a quilting ministry, is geared to encourage prayers for the sick. Parish members can request a quilt to be made for themselves or for others they know that may benefit from it. Members of the team gather to pray as they work on sewing quilts, which are then presented to the parish at the end of Mass. People are invited to come forward and tie a knot in the quilt and say a prayer for the sick or homebound person.
