Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs at Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. (John 2)
As we begin to walk again the path of Ordinary Time, we hear of Jesus beginning his public ministry. Through his “ordinary” daily activities, he showed through signs and teachings that he was the Son of God and the savior of the world. In ordinary time, we dedicate ourselves to being attentive to the saving signs that Jesus gives us. In the Liturgy we tune in to his presence through the Word and through the Sacramental signs of bread and wine. We then can be more in tune to how he is speaking to us and calling us to follow him in the ordinary events of our daily life.
Believing in the signs the Lord offers us in Liturgy and in life keeps us on the path of God’s love, mercy and salvation.
