The Knights of Columbus at St. Catherine Labouré Catholic Church offers men 18 years of age and older the opportunity to grow in faith while helping others through fundraising and supporting our Parish, and a way to become better Catholics, husbands, and fathers.

We are a non-profit organization comprised of practical Catholic gentlemen, who perform a variety of community and charity activities. These activities include, but are not limited to volunteer services, charitable donations, parish support, support for Seminarians, and scholarships. Pope Benedict XVI once said that the Knights of Columbus are the “fighting arm” of the church, in that we defend our faith, church, and clergy.  Most importantly, we work live as men of faith, action, service and sacrifice in a distressed world.

Our Principles:

All the good works we do are informed by our four core principles:

Charity – Our Catholic faith teaches us to serve God and to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call to serve God that we answer every day in our communities and in our parish.

Unity –Members of the Knights of Columbus all know that – together – we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually. As a Knight of Columbus – you can count on the support and encouragement of your brother Knights as you work to make life better in our parish and community.

Fraternity – In the Knights of Columbus, we watch out for and take care of one another, we support our Brother Knights who lead and assist with events to service God in our parish. Over 140 years ago the Venerable Priest Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died – often prematurely. We continue to tradition of fraternal friendship and getting to know one another while serving God through our good works.

Patriotism – In 1954 The Knights of Columbus’ efforts resulted in the all-important phrase “one nation, UNDER GOD, indivisible”, being inserted in our country’s Pledge of Allegiance Members. The Knights of Columbus, be they Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans, Filipinos, Poles, or Dominicans, are patriotic citizens. We are proud of each other and proud of our devotion to God and country, and we believe in standing up for both. Whether it’s in public or private, the Knights remind the world that Catholics support their nations, their Brother Knights, and are amongst the greatest citizens.
