The souls in purgatory are eventually going to be in Heaven. They are undergoing final purification (liberation) from any attachments they had while in this world – any impurities of action or heart or mind which are contrary to the way of life in heaven. Because we are united in faith through Jesus Christ, we can pray for them, and our prayers have merit in preparing them for eternal happiness.

Members of the Bereavement Ministry will be in the front of the Church today to take the names of your deceased loved ones. Theses names will be placed in our Book of Remembrance. The Book of Remembrance will be on display in the church all through the month of November. There will be a candle procession again. The candles and book will be placed in front of the altar at the beginning of Mass. Each person may pick up their candle before the Mass and it will be lit by a member of the Bereavement Ministry. In order to maintain a supply for future years all candles will be left at the altar after Mass. There will be time after Mass for photos.

Ministerio de duelo

Las almas en el purgatorio eventualmente estarán en el Cielo. Están experimentando la purificación final (liberación) de cualquier apego que tuvieron mientras estaban en este mundo, cualquier impureza de acción, corazón o mente que sea contraria a la forma de vida en el cielo. Debido a que estamos unidos en fe por medio de Jesucristo, podemos orar por ellos, y nuestras oraciones tienen mérito en prepararlos para la felicidad eterna.

Los miembros del Ministerio de Duelo estarán al frente de la Iglesia hoy para tomar los nombres de sus seres queridos fallecidos. Estos nombres se colocarán en nuestro Libro de Recuerdos. El Libro del Recuerdo estará en la iglesia durante todo el mes de Noviembre. Habrá una procesión de velas. Las velas y el libro se colocarán frente al altar al comienzo de Misa. Cada persona podrá recoger su vela antes de la Misa y será encendida por un miembro del Ministerio de Duelo. Todas las velas se dejarán en el altar después de Misa. Habrá tiempo después de la Misa para tomar fotos.
