Protection against Evil Spirits
People often tell me that there seems to be evil spirits or strange spiritual things happening in their house, or someone has put a spell on them, or on someone they know. We know that the devil is real and works on many levels. He mostly torments people by tempting them to sin. That’s why, as Paul says in the quote above: Jesus came into to world – to save sinners!
In the Gospels we frequently see Jesus casting out demons from people. Below are some prayers that can be used to protect yourself or others from the power of evil. Also, the most powerful prayer we have is the Mass. Be sure to come to Mass frequently, and invite those having spiritual problems to come to Mass, and to go to Confession, to receive the graces needed for divine protection from evil. If matters seem serious, best to contact a priest for assistance.
Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Prayer Against Every Evil Spirit
of our God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of heaven, descend upon me. Please purify me (or add person’s name),
Lord, mold _____________, fill me/him/her with yourself, use him/her. Banish all the forces of evil from me/him/her, destroy them, defeat them, so that I can be healthy and do good deeds.
Banish from ______________ all spells, witchcraft, black magic, evil spells, ties, curses, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, deceitfulness, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual and diabolical ailments.
Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch ______________ or any other creature in the entire world. I command and bid all the powers who molest _________ – by the power of God all-powerful, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary – to leave me/him/her forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell where they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
