On August 7 & 8, Fr. George Perez (just ordained on June 19!) for the Eudists (Congregation of Jesus and Mary) will be here giving the Missionary Appeal. Please welcome him and offer our support.
The Congregation of Jesus and Mary also known as The Eudist Fathers from the name of our founder Saint John Eudes (1601-1680). We were founded in France in 1643 and are now in 17 countries. Our main apostolate is the formation of priests and deacons in seminaries, the formation of lay ministers in diocesan institutes as well as higher education mostly in poor countries in South and Central America, Africa and in the Philippines. In the U.S., we are present in the Dioceses of San Diego, CA, and Louisville, KY. Some of our sister orders are the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd (Religious of the Good Shepherd with Saint Mary Euphrasia), Little Sisters of the Poor founded by Saint Jeanne Jugan a Third Order Eudist and Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour (Mother Antonia Brenner).
