January 18 – January 25 is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The division of Christians is a great wound in the side of Christ, who willed that all who believe in him would be one. This week we are invited to pray for greater unity and to seek greater dialogue and respect among all believers.
In honor of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we will be celebrating the follow themes at our 8:00 a.m. daily Masses:
- Friday, January 18 – For the Unity of Christians
- (Saturday, January 19- (No morning Mass)
- Monday, January 21 – (The Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr) Mass for promoting harmony
- Tuesday, January 22: Anniversary of Roe vs. Wade (legalizing abortion): A day of prayer for the Protection of the Unborn Children; Mass for giving thanks for human life
- Wednesday, January 23: For the Unity of Christians
- Thursday, January 24: St. Francis de Sales
- Friday, January 25: The Conversion of St. Paul (Feast, recite Gloria)
